WHAT TO EXPECT AT AN AUTHENTIC BOXING WORKOUT

All sessions are non-contact and conducted in a safe and friendly environment by qualified professionals. Each session will progress and vary from week to week but follow this basic structure.

WARM UP

 

Followed by:

BOXING SKILLS, TECHNIQUES AND TACTICS

Unlike typical ‘boxercise’ classes you’ll be learning genuine boxing skills, techniques and tactics. Working in pairs, much like a martial arts class, learn to jab, cross, hook and uppercut with correct form. And learn the corresponding blocks, parries, rolls and slips to defend from them. This along with footwork and stance advice will make up the first 10-15mins of each session.

PAD DRILLS

Let off some steam with some high intensity pad work. Everyone likes hitting the pads! Not only to refine technique but also to sharpen reflexes and build speed. Get your heart pumping and lungs burning! A well proven fat burner. We’ll spend roughly 10- 15mins on pad work per session.

STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING

My favourite part of every Rocky movie! Sculpt a lean and strong physique with pro style strength and conditioning exercises. Having watched hundreds of pre-fight/ fight camp documentaries, read endless training manuals, spoken to top boxers and personal trainers it seems the old ways are still the best ways! Exciting, tough and varied circuits using medicine ball, kettlebell and dumbbell moves combined with the most gruelling of bodyweight exercises. Circuits last approx. 25mins.
